Taking a chainsaw to media since 2013
Take my Star Trek review (How the new Star Trek failed) — the problem I identified was that the logic of starship construction requires starships to be built in orbit. The original Star Trek understood this. Unfortunately J. J. Abrams thinks he is smarter than everyone else…
Horst’s idea was to do videos only. My idea is to do 90% videos, maybe a 100%. But I want to leave room for books too! If we end up with a new Harry Potter, or Lord of the Rings, we could end up covered in cobwebs before a video gets made!
Another point is that I’d like to see everyone get involved. If you have comments on the work being reviewed, tell us. If you have stuff you feel we should review, suggest it. And we'll hash out suggestions and ideas in the comments section.
Most of all, let's have fun!

Logic? ROFL. Both good targets. There's no use picking on things like the Deutsch Perry Rhodan film, or from an American viewpoint archive.org/details/SantaClausConquersTheMartians1964_201310 Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. There's no use deconstructing something no one has seen.
At one point I'd considered doing the Lord of the Rings films, which I considered especially messed up, but my issues were with differences from the books, and the books weren't completely internally consistent.

PS: I will be around from now on. Had a super bad head cold. One American TV commercial talks about 'Post Nasal Drip'. What I had felt more like 'Post Mortem Nasal Drip'.
My wife watched the newest Xmen flick on Netflix. I didn't catch all of it, but I saw a couple of what looked like huge blunders. I need to watch it, and also the official Marvel titles. There may be comic gold there.
