7. Gratis-Storysammlungen bei mobileread und RGL. Eine ListeAls Ebook gibt es inzwischen viele rare Sammlungen und Anthologien gratis. Besonders mobileread besitzt eine umfangreiche kostbare Sammlung.
Ich konzentriere mich hier auf zwei Quellen: das mobileread-Forum, sicher auch deutschen Lesern bekannt (hier erscheinen etwa auch nach und nach alle Harald-Harst-Krimi-Heftromane von Walter Kabel) und Roy Glashans Library. Natürlich kann man auch diverse Ausgaben etwa im englischen Project Gutenberg finden, doch das schöne ist, dass sie bei mobileread oft zusammengeführt und in in sehr guten Autoren-Ausgaben vorliegen.

Hier die wichtigsten Short-Story-Sammlungen mit viktorianisch/edwardianischer Schauerliteratur. Ich habe Editionen, die das ganze oder fast das ganze fantastische Werk eines Autors umfassen, mit GW (Gesamtwerk) gekennzeichnet. Das bezieht sich natürlich nur auf das Genre. Mrs. Oliphant etwa hat ein gigantisches Werk hinterlassen, nur ein Bruchteil gehört der unheimlichen Phantastik an, das aber ist nahezu vollständig bei mobileread versammelt.
Für die Liebhaber der Okkult-Detektive habe ich die entsprechenden Sammlungen als GJ (Geisterjäger) ausgewiesen. Die Jahreszahlen geben das Erscheinungsjahr des Erzähl-Bandes an, die Erzählungen selbst erschienen in der Regel etwas früher in Magazinen. Bei posthum zusammengestellten Sammlungen wird jeweils die früheste und die späteste Erzählung angegeben. Alle hier aufgeführten Titel sind Sammelbände und keine Einzel-Romane, obwohl einige wenige Sammlungen auch Romane enthalten.

Eine weitere Quelle für Gratis-Ebooks aus diesem Genre ist Roy Glashans Library, an der ich selbst
mitarbeite und in der zahlreiche Texte erschienen sind, die ich selbst neu entdeckt habe.
Hier habe ich einige äußerst rare Romane und Sammlungen mit aufgenommen, die nicht immer immer der Dark Fantasy oder dem Horror-Genre angehören, aber doch phantastische Elemente enthalten, um als wichtige Vorläufer der Fantasy gelten zu können. Dasselbe gilt für frühe Werke der SF, Dystopie, Post-Apokalypse oder
Military-SF.
